Tyndall Air Force Base
The 325th Fighter Wing is dedicated to delivering unmatched air combat power for the United States. It is in the process of adopting the F-35A Lightning II as its primary aircraft. Upon completion of this transition, the wing will emerge as the Air Force's latest operational fighter wing, equipped with three F-35A squadrons ready to uphold combat readiness for national defense.The 325th FW serves as the base for 20 tenant organizations belonging to various Major Commands, supporting a broad spectrum of military operations at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. The wing consists of the 325th Operations Group, 325th Maintenance Group, 325th Mission Support Group, and 325th Medical Group.Following significant damage from Hurricane Michael in 2018, Tyndall Air Force Base is undergoing a comprehensive $4.7 billion reconstruction. Once completed, Tyndall will set the standard as the Air Force's inaugural "Installation of the Future" for the 21st century.
